Gill has reached the magic age of three score years and ten and to celebrate John decided we needed another holiday!
He did not tell Gill where but we are now in the Yorkshire Dales, somewhere we spent a great deal of time visiting before the children were born but have avoided since, probably because it was getting a bit too crowded. We spent the weekend in the Golden Lion in Settle, a fairly ordinary town centre pub which has already gone up in our estimation.
They supply real milk in the rooms, there are nice tea mugs and a tea pot in the room. Little things like that make a stay much more pleasant.
We then moved into the hills!
