I always used to call them the Scilly Isles but apparently that is a bit of a faux pas, perhaps the locals don't like being called Silly.
It has been on our "to visit" list for some time and the current restrictions on overseas travel has moved them to the top. It will seem like a foreign holiday so long as the weather stays warm.
We are staying in a self catering cottage on St Mary's for two weeks and as we fly from Lands End airport we have booked three nights in Lynmouth on the way down and another two in Mousehole on the way back to make the journey worthwhile.
Judging by the difficulty we have had booking restaurant places in advance it looks like it might be a bit crowded but as long as it does not rain we can probably manage.
