Gills Adventure is now over

I picked Gill up from Heathrow this morning where the short term parking costs £82!  Fortunately I spotted this extortionate cost a week ago and instead booked a very comfortable hotel right next to Hatton Cross station which cost £92 a night including parking.  Even better there is a proper pub about 200 yards away where you can drink nice beer and listen to the windows rattling as each plane goes over.  For some reason taking the tube from Hatton Cross to Heathrow return is free so a low cost alternative to trying to get into the airport by car.

As you can see in the photo Gill managed to get into the White House garden on her last day in America, I presume Joe Biden was away, it would be slightly embarrassing if he came out onto the balcony in his dressing gown as hundreds of tourists were below taking photos.

We now have a week at home, another blast of chemo and then next week we are off to Brittany, hopefully the weather will improve
