A Grand Day – Today I did one of my favourite walks, the line of volcanos along the spine of the island. Gill did the walk the last time we were here and was not keen to fill her boots again with lots of volcanic dust which was handy as she dropped me at the start and met me again at the finish where, in thanks, I treated her to a nice meal is a very swish restaurant on the tip of the island.
So a great walk, a nice meal but then, to finish off the evening, we went to a concert by the men of Los Benahoare. We came across them by chance on our last visit so this time were looking out for their Christmas concert, it did not disappoint. They sing, play mandolins, guitars, drums and a trumpet, the sound is great, I suppose it is the Spanish equivalent of a male voice choir, a great finale to the day. There is a video of them taken a few years ago, it starts with and advert for La Palma but then has one of their concerts see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZYmaajc1Zw
The path picks it's way around about 10 of these extinct volcanos
