I have just rewiewed the blog entries and I am not sure that the one posted two days ago was displayed. I have just updated it so if you have not seen it go to Altitude sickness otherwise much of what follows won't make much sense.
Today we went up a hill to get a better view of the mountains. We were very slow and puffed out even though we only climbed 300m. Lots more photos a few of which I have loaded below.
The A team arrived at 5pm after a very long day to our guest house which is freezing. My water bottle next to my bed froze solid last night. My iPad won't charge as it is below freezing in the lounge / dinning room, it was on charge all day and has reached the dizzy hights of 32%.
We are all suffering from Everest Throat, a dry cough which is very annoying. Various web sites recommended us to bring strepcils, our guide produce a massive tub of them one we started the walk and we all spend all day sucking them, don't know if you can overdose on them.
Tomorrow we move further down the mountain to Namche Bazzar which has showers, the first proper wash for almost a week!
These sherpas were carrying six 10ft lengths of 3"x3" hardwood. I could not carry three of these on the level, they are going up a mountain pass.
The route to Everest
This valley is the route you take to Everset Base camp, just walk up the valley and turn left, it takes 4 days from here
The hill we went up is a holy mountain so there were flags most of the way
