On Wednesday we walked along the river to the Transport Museum and spent an enjoyable few hours looking at cars we used to own or drive (Hillman Imp (Gills first car), 1970's Rover, Mini etc) as well as some very old models including the oldest Rolls Royce in captivity (1905). As you would expect with a transport museum on the site of a shipyard there were lots of exhibits about ships and shipping but the only display about aircraft was about the Lockerbie disaster, perhaps the management don't like to promote flying.

There was also quite a big display about that pinnacle of British technology – the Sinclair C5 – It made me proud to be British.
Outside was a 1890 sailing ship which looked big on the outside but somehow even bigger when we got below decks.

For once we did not see or do anything associated with Rennie Mackintosh.
