Day 3 - Bath

We have come to the conclusion that Bath is the Ryanair of tourism, everything you want to do costs extra.  It is £25 to visit the baths but you can't swim, the Abbey Church charge £10 to visit (and there was a queue), they even charge £2 to sit in the park so being mean buggers we did none of these must do sites.

But being fashionable people, and of course smartly dressed, we did visit the Museum of Fashion and being children had a go at dressing up as 19th century middle class visitors.

On the plus side Bath does have some nice restaurants, we had an excellent Greek dinner last night and todays lunch in a pavement cafe was also very good so no complaints.

To charge up the boats batteries and heat the water you need to run the engine for a couple of hours each day so after returning to the boat after our day out we motored back along the canal a couple of miles and are now moored outside a bog standard pub in Bathampton (pictured below) so will probably be eating beefburgers and scampi tonight.

As we are enjoying ourselves and the weather is looking good we have asked the boatyard if we can extend our holiday, they say they may be able to help so we might hit the 29 locks after all!
