Antigua Christmas 2021

html site templates

Back in the summer when British Airways were beginning to panic about their income they offered a special deal for flights to Antigua over Christmas. To get the best deal you needed to book and pay straight away (in June), leave early December and not return until mid January. We enjoyed our long break last Christmas so decided to take a chance and made a booking. We then searched for accommodation and found what we hope is a particularly good deal on a hotel in English Harbour, perhaps they had not spotted the dates were Christmas or they were equally desperate.

We have not stayed at the hotel before but it looked so nice when we passed through Antigua in 2013 I even took a photograph which is shown above. We are staying there for 21 nights but for the first fortnight we are on a beach, we don’t normally do beach holidays so it might be a one off. I guess being so long on the same island will mean there won’t be a great deal to write about but on the other hand if I have nothing to do I might write a great deal, it could be the most boring blog ever – now thats a challenge.

To save you having to plough through all the pages to get to the latest missive I have added an index below which I will probably then forget to update:
